Summary: Fourteen-year-old Hibari is shy and quiet and still very much a kid, but no one can see that. All they see is her body. From the kids in her class to her teachers and other adults, everyone assumes she's deliberately acting sexy when she's just trying to exist. When rumors start up that her dad's been abusing her, her classmates just laugh and joke that she must have been asking for it. Will anyone look beyond appearances to see what's really going on?

Chapter Summary: A boy who has a crush on Hibari but has never talked to her, a girl who pretends to be her friend only to betray her, and a class full of kids who alternately ignore her and whisper about her. This is not exactly the popular life adults assume she must be living.

Decided to read, it's been some time since I've experienced all this high school drama. =D
Thanks for your hard work.

God, this was hard to read. It's been a pretty striking manga all around tho. I think there's something interesting about these teenagers talking about sexual abuse very bluntly and yet still not really understanding its scope. Like incorrectly thinking Hibari won't come back to school, after she's admitted she doesn't feel safe at home. And that it's been normalised even (and especially) for Hibari insofar as she's willing to accept that what happens at the end of ch5 is something Michika deserves and take what schadenfreude she can out of it.

Sorry for rambling, but thanks for the chapter. Looking forward to seeing more of Hibari. Hopefully eventually from her own perspective.

Yeah, it's pretty bleak in a lot of ways.

Glad you're enjoying it!

oh man after seeing the recent chapter come out, i wen back to catch up on all of them. it's a really good series, i like the angle it's taken and i like how we see a lot of different pov.
the end of chapter 5 is really hard to read, i wonder if a note somewhere would be good
