Considering the number of grisly situations he seems to find himself in after the ghost of his childhood friend Hayakawa Ryoko starts following him around, he may have a point.

pg175 What's why > That's why

Ahhh, that "abrupt" ending.
I wonder if the alien could've eaten the sea god.

Thanks for the release!

Thanks for always catching the typos!

Yeah, I wish there had been a little more resolution at the end but I don't hate it.

i came to say thaank you for completing this manga.

i think the ending was pretty nice. all the support character i love got their own conclusion in previous chapters. also idk how to explain it but this ending have "horror genre ending" fell in it, and i kind like it.

Hiyodori Sachiko really did a good job in this. i didn't really like horror manga before, but her work changed my mind.

also megchan, did u know what girl that Jun talking about? is he talking about Yashiro? or the mysterious girl with ball? if it's the girl with a ball then who is she?

please let me know if u know something iam so curious, thaanks

He was talking about the girl with the ball, who is Mika, the sea god's daughter (not sure how she got legs now, but I guess being half god means you can just do that).

There is so much I would like to say… But… Thanks, for everything!

Is a weird ending, can't hate it, it gaves me what I wanted, It explain most of what I was expecting, was so romantic and sad, it left open so much possibilities.

To me, I want to believe kishida defeat khutulu and maybe got a new more normal life, and maybe, in some other reality (which is stablish there are some) maybe kishida and hayakawa would both continue to live, maybe having a normal life and being happy in a relationship, fulling their love, who knows?!

I would not forget this series, thanks again!

Yeah, I don't usually love endings like this, but I think it was fitting for the series, and honestly considering it was mainly a collection of oneshots, I don't expect her to be able to write a big final battle conclusion…

too bad the author makes it an open ending…

#17 megchan on 01.12.20 at 7:32 am

Yeah, I didn't 100% love the ending but I'm okay with it.

Thanks so much for scanlating this! Absolutely one of my favorites. I'm not sure why I liked this series so much, but the characters were really captivating in their own way. This is the first open ending in a while that I've really liked; much like the Lovecraftian horror that a lot of it seems to draw from, the big scary thing is more scary when left unexplained. At least we can hope that the protag wins though.

Any chances that you'll pick up her new Manga?

#19 megchan on 01.27.20 at 6:39 pm

It's one of my favorite series, too. I love the combination of humor and horror.

I don't like working from magazine scans and the stress of having to find each chapter as it comes out, so I would only pick it up if no one else has done so by the time the first volume is out. I am definitely interested, but since it's possible someone else may pick it up before then, considering how popular this series turned out to be, I can't make any guarantees.
